“After I broke my shoulder and had surgery, I worked with Emily to regain the strength in my right arm. As painful as this ordeal had been, Emily did a great job of making the recovery process enjoyable. She is an expert masseuse as well as being gifted at making others comfortable. She knows just how far to push to get the most out of my muscles without pushing them too far. I’m sure I would not have done nearly as well as I feel I have done without Emily’s expertise in OT. Although I wouldn’t wish this injury on anyone, if something like this does happen to you, I hope you find someone as gifted as Emily (or better yet, Emily herself) to help you recover”.

“Emily was my occupational therapist for a year and a half. I came to her very depressed and couldn't even dress myself. I had a very rare form of cancer in my chest. My cancer attacked the immune system which followed to affect my extremities. My hands were swollen and painful. I couldn't open my left hand at all. It was totally collapsed. I couldn't hold anything in it either.
Emily worked so hard to help me weekly. She invented new ways to deal with my problems, because even the doctors didn't know what to do. She never gave up, cheered me on through this extremely difficult journey, and was my friend. Emily is very skilled and knowledgeable. Her toolbox is full of wonderful tricks to help the patient. She has a very extensive experience. Emily was there for me all the way. I'm almost totally functional now and I give Emily the full credit for it. Everyone will be so lucky to have a therapist like Emily. I will be always grateful for the rest of my life”.

“When I broke my wrist (the first time), I was fortunate to have Emily as my occupational therapist. (Also, fortunate that the break wasn’t too severe so surgery wasn’t required.) Emily is smart, an excellent listener, and so very skilled at her profession. She always gave me options, which I greatly appreciated. Emily made my therapy interesting. A year later, I experienced another break, considerably worse than the first one. I connected with Emily again, knowing just how skilled she was. Emily is remarkably attuned to what is needed for a client on a particular day— massage, a more intense workout, or something else. I am so grateful for her. Without Emily, I am not sure I would have attained the high level of recovery I have”.

“My orthopedist referred me to an occupational therapist for the arthritis in my hands; they were very painful. I was Emily’s first client. Although she was just starting in the profession, I found her to be extraordinarily smart and creative. We worked together for many months, not only on my hands but several years later the tendonitis in my arm. When I worked with Emily, she always found ways for me to function better at home at the computer, cooking, kitchen chores and general housekeeping. She would enhance her expertise by attending specialized classes that provided a deeper understanding of how the mind and body work to heal. During our sessions together, she was very attentive to my needs and well-being. When I completed treatment, she laid out a plan that I could easily follow. Emily is brilliant and extremely personable and approachable”.

“I broke my wrist from a fall a few years ago. After putting the arm in a portable cast, the surgeon recommended occupational therapy. I was in a lot of pain and could not use my wrist. Emily was my OT throughout my recovery. It was amazing how she focused and tailored my treatment, carefully explaining why each exercise was important and modifying them as I progressed. Because of her I fully recovered with no residual effects. She is very empathetic and a great therapist. I highly recommend her not just for her expertise but because she is a warm, caring person”.

“I received treatment from Emily for my hand after carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgeries. She is very skilled and I have noted improvement in my comfort level as a result of her care. I would definitely recommend her to others”.
